Tasting Notes:

This is an interesting comparison to the Chanteuse Syrah-Grenache I just tasted. If you wanted to show someone the difference between new world and old world styles simply poor a glass of each of these. This wine was also an inky almost black purple. The nose of this wine was more forward and much fruitier. It almost smelled like Welch's grape juice. In the mouth it was more full bodied and much fruitier with blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry flavors. There was no herbal or mineral component, and much more tannic finish.

This was a good wine, but not much different than a lot of other good wine. At this price point I tend to want something different. I like character and this doesn't have much of that.
