Tasting Notes:
This was the white wine I picked to go with the BBQ. I loved it when we had it on our trip to Rattlesnake Hills, and I thought it's smokiness would go great with the smoked meat. It's a good straw color in the glass with lots of tropical fruit scents: pineapple, mango, papaya. This is what a good unoaked chardonnay smells like. Behind the fruit scent though is a slight smokiness, that is very interesting. In the mouth the fruit flavors spring to life as the surprisingly full bodied wine fills your mouth. They are balanced by a nice soft acid that leads to the smokiness on the finish.
