Tasting Notes:

This is a simple quaffable chardonnay that's perfect for a mid-week meal. We had it with a pea and prosciutto risotto, and it matched quite well.

It's a pleasant color in the glass with a nose of tropical fruit. It carries that forward on to the palate where pineapple is the dominant flavor. It's quite full bodied, and maybe just a tad soft. There are slight hints of vanilla on the finish, but no soft buttery flavor.

Tasting Notes:

Kathrine made a chicken curry, and I thought this would be a good drink to have. In the glass, the wine is a rusty cherry color. Darker than usual for a rose. The nose was very strong and distinct. Strawberry and rose petal dominated. The rose strongly reminded me of gewurztraminer. On the palate, the flavors were very fruit forward with strawberry, cherry, and plums dominating. There was a little bit of acid that carried to the finish. The finish was were things got interesting. It was quite spicy. The dominating spice was cinnamon. There was also a bitterness on the finish.

This was an interesting off dry rose, that makes a good food wine. At this price, it's hard not to try it.
