Tasting Notes:
This is a simple mid week wine. I find it has a nice purple color and a grapey taste with a lot of pepper on the midpalate. There is quite a bit of herbal bitter greenness on the finish, which some may not like, but I do. For under $10 how can you complain?

Tasting Notes:
This is a pretty great rose wine. The color in the glass is almost salmon. The nose is a pleasant mixture of strawberry, watermelon, and a touch of mint. In the mouth the fruitiness is great with a good acid backbone and a bitter almond finish that makes things interesting.

I'm not sure when I drank this. And I don't have any tasting notes. I just did an inventory and realized it's gone.

Having bratwurst for dinner? How about a nice riesling to go with that.
This wine was a deep golden in the glass, much darker than I would have expected. The aromas were of orange blossom, green apple, and lemon. On first taste the crisp acidity is what really strikes you, as the acid blends with the taste of citrus and minerals. On the finish, you get the sense of the residual sugar (.7%) and taste honey.

Tasting Notes:
We were having pan roasted poussin for a mid week dinner and I felt like some wine. I felt like a red, as I've been drinking mainly whites and roses this summer. I figured this would be a good one to open.
This wine is made from the
lemberger grape, which doesn't get much respect. (It's probably the name.) There are a few places in Washington who grow it, and I'm actually a fan. It's light and fruity, and not complex. Just something to sip that goes well with most food.
The wine was a dark purple color, getting much lighter and almost brick red toward the rim of the glass. The nose was all jammy fruit: blueberry, plum, and raspberry. The taste was similar, though with a nice acidity to keep the fruit from taking over. I also noticed a slight vegetal/herbal component that I normally associate with cabernet franc and malbec and that I enjoy. There was no tannin to speak of, and the finish was quite short.
At this price its hard to complain. There just isn't a lot of simple unassuming red wine at this price point. If I was an everyday wine drinker, this would be something I'd buy by the case.
