Tasting Notes:
I opened this up to go with a pasta dish on a Wednesday night. But because I was stupid I didn't finish the bottle and it had to sit in the fridge until the next Monday because of a trip to Iowa. It was preserved with the spray can of nitrogen, but how was it going to taste?
Fortunately for me, I can say the taste wasn't changed. This is a deep dark purple wine. It has a bright black fruit scent. In the mouth it's full and juicy with tons of black fruit and a surprising grapieness to it. There is a nice acidic backbone, with maybe a touch to much heat from the alcohol. It's a good match with pizza or a pasta with red sauce. It's not the most complex wine though. The finish is fairly short and there is almost nothing in the way of tannins. But you don't need to drink serious wine every night and this is delicious.

Tasting Notes:
This was the rose I served at the BBQ. This was a great choice, and one of the best dry rose wines I've had. I remembered liking it when we went to the winery, but that was a while ago and after a long day of drinking wine.
It's a beautiful pink color in the glass with strawberries and raspberries dominating the nose. As I sniffed more, I could also detect a hint of what smelled like dill. It was far in the background and not unpleasant at all. On the first taste, you really get the fruit, but it eases a way to a nice combination of floral/herbal flavors with a hint of black pepper on the finish. Even though it has over 14% alcohol, it never tasted hot. Very well balanced.

Tasting Notes:
This is the most expensive syrah I've ever tasted. Its also the best. It's an inky dark purple and looked very thick in the glass.
The nose was very complex: chocolate, smoke, pepper, blueberries, and minerals.
On the first taste you could tell it had a great body to it. The first thing I could taste was blueberries. As that flavor waned, I got a distinct impression of chocolate and tobacco. Then the black pepper I associate with syrah kicked in, followed by a nice acidity that was perfectly balance by the soft tannins.
Very complex, very good. This will be my new baseline for new world syrah.
