Tasting Notes:
This is an outstanding wine at the price I paid. Decade old riesling from a single vineyard for under $20? Are you kidding me?
This wine was a fairly deep golden. Not the light straw that you get from a young riesling. The nose was powerful and outstanding. Tons of petroleum, citrus, flowers, and a touch of honey. In the mouth this was a steely mineral laced wine. The fruit was muted at first but the acid and minerals were off the charts, but not in an out of balanced way. As it opened up more, the fruit flavors (apple and stone fruit) became slightly more prevalent. There was also an interesting spicy note on the finish.
I'm glad I have another bottle of this. I'd be very interested to try it again with a bit of a decant.

Tasting Notes:
If all Bordeaux was like this, I'd drink much more. Looking at this wine, you understand why Bordeaux received the name claret from the British. This is a transparent wine. It's not inky black. It's a dark red, but you can see through it. The nose has more red fruit than black fruit: strawberries, raspberries, and red currant. In the mouth, it's creamy smooth. The fruit is muted at first, but came more apparent the longer it breathed. The red fruit is there, along with some plum. The finish is long with no oaky flavors and nice smooth tannins. I also noticed just a hint of an herbal mint quality.

Tasting Notes:
I do love me some Loire Cabernet Franc. I love it so much it makes me talk like a redneck. This is an outstanding wine with a QPR off the chart.
The color is fairly dark and inky with aromas that just explode. There is a ton of juicy raspberry, with just a hint of green herb notes and even a little tar. In the mouth, the aromas are duplicated with a perfect acidity and just enough astringency from the tannins to keep everything in check. The finish is long with a bitter dark chocolate note.

Tasting Notes:
This was one of our favorite wines from our trip to Rattlesnake Hills, and thankfully time in the cellar didn't hurt it at all!
In the glass it was a pale golden. It has great aromas of honey, peach and apricot. Very fruity and pleasant on the nose. On the first sip it seems very rich with flavors of ripe apple and peach. What sets apart this wine from much of what is produced in this state is the acidity. It's nice and crisp and refreshing and leads to a very long finish. This is very much in the style of what I've had from Alsace. It's not quite German as the alcohol is a bit higher and the sweetness lower, but it is very good indeed.

Tasting Notes:
I opened this desert wine to have with a smore for Kathrine's birthday meal. I remember this wine being excellent when we tasted it at the winery, and it was no exception on this night either.
The amount of work that goes into this wine is amazing at this price, from the winery: "Botrytis cinerea has worked its magic on this Riesling. We hand selected Beerenauslese-only clusters infected with greater than 50% of this noble rot for our Late Harvest Riesling."
You can't touch a Beerenauslese from Germany at this price. I've never had the fortune of trying a great German one, but I can't imagine it being that much better.
This wine has a beautiful aroma of orange blossom, honey, rose, and citrus. In the mouth it's thick and opulent, with the flavors of melon and peach and a great zestiness. It is sweet, about 5% residual sugar, but it is never cloying. The acid is high enough to focus it. The finish is long and pleasant.
