Tasting Notes:
I probably drank this wine before its time. It was dark in the glass for a Burgundy. Closer to purple in color and not very translucent. The nose was fairly muted but expanded the longer it was open and by the second day was quite fruity with just a hint of earth. It was heavier and much more textured on the palate than I expected. The tannins just a little out of balance and covering up some of the flavors. Again on the second day it was better, and I imagine with time this could be excellent.

Tasting Notes:
This is simply one of the best Burgundies I've ever had. It's a deep red color but still translucent. The nose is intoxicating with red fruit, cinnamon, and earth. The wine is silky smooth in the mouth with a great acid backbone. I'm totally in love and wish I had more.

Tasting Notes:
This isn't a bad sparkler, but I get the impression that it wasn't intended to bottle age for this long. Perhaps it got lost in a cellar somewhere? The color and nose are outstanding, but the primary fruit character seems to have faded. There are hints of apple and pear, but they are buried underneath the lime like intense acid. This isn't something I'd buy again.

Tasting Notes:
This wasn't the best pinot noir I've ever had, nor was it the worst. It was a bit deeper and darker and color than I'm used to, and the aroma was bordering on more black fruit (black cherry and raspberry) than the more familiar red fruits from pinot. In the mouth, it was quite full bodied. The fruit was forward with a silky tannin. There was just a hint of earth and cedar on the midpalate. The finish was long with cedar, a hint of nutmeg, and a little chocolate.
This was a tasty wine, just not what I was expecting from a pinot noir. It was a little heavier than I usually like.

Tasting Notes:
This is a great quaffable white wine that is a good value for the price. It's a light straw color with grapefruit and peach aroma and flavors. There is just a touch of grassieness, but nothing like a wine from New Zealand.

Tasting Notes:
I opened this up to go with a smoked brisket BBQ meal that I prepared for some friends.
The wine is a deep dark red with dried, black fruit aromas. I detected a bit of smoke and meatiness in the nose. In the mouth it's lighter and more acidic than normal for a Southern Rhone wine, but the flavors were outstanding. There's no oak to get in the way of the black fruit, leather, and herbal notes that dominate. The tannins are nice and integrated.

Tasting Notes:
I would suggest that everyone who says that hate chardonnay to drink a wine like this. This has none of the tropical fruit, vanilla, and butter that so often mars domestic bottles. But it is still easily recognizable as a chardonnay and not completely sharp and acidic.
It's a deep golden color with a quite thick look to it. The nose is very pronounced, a mixture of fresh cut apples and pears. In the mouth the texture is divine with the fruit flavors mingling with a green apple acidic bite and tons of minerals. I simply devoured this bottle because it was so delicious.

Tasting Notes:
As California Pinot Noir goes, this is the best I've had. It has the right crimson color. It's not black and over extracted. The nose is spot on with hints of cedar and violets, and just a touch of spice. The flavors are bright cherry and plum with a crisp acidity. The downside was the alcohol. It didn't taste hot, but after two glasses I could tell this wasn't a low alcohol French Burgundy.

Tasting Notes:
I opened this up to go with a pasta dish on a Wednesday night. But because I was stupid I didn't finish the bottle and it had to sit in the fridge until the next Monday because of a trip to Iowa. It was preserved with the spray can of nitrogen, but how was it going to taste?
Fortunately for me, I can say the taste wasn't changed. This is a deep dark purple wine. It has a bright black fruit scent. In the mouth it's full and juicy with tons of black fruit and a surprising grapieness to it. There is a nice acidic backbone, with maybe a touch to much heat from the alcohol. It's a good match with pizza or a pasta with red sauce. It's not the most complex wine though. The finish is fairly short and there is almost nothing in the way of tannins. But you don't need to drink serious wine every night and this is delicious.

Tasting Notes:
I opened this up to go with a super thick hickory smoked, spice rubbed rib-eye. And then proceed to drink it over 3 days. I remember this being one of the first cabernets that Kathrine really took a liking to. In the glass it's dark and purple with a light rim. The nose is all ripe black fruit without even a hint of mineral or earth. In the mouth it's medium to full bodied. The dark fruit dominated with an nice acidic backbone. Nicely integrated and quite pleasant to drink. On day two the fruit had faded and it wasn't quite as good. The acid seemed to overpower the other flavors and it seemed quite hot. By day three there was nothing left. So this is a good wine, but definitely ready to drink now.
